The Naruto Online MMORPG will be coming to PC for
territories in the West, publisher Oasis Games announced today. The
game will be released on July 20, and is officially licensed from Bandai
Namco Entertainment. Naruto Online will follow the storyline of the Naruto anime (which is based on the Naruto manga), going through all nine arcs and beyond, although it is unknown if it will cover the events of Boruto: Naruto The Movie.
Players will be able step into the role of one of five new characters,
each representing the element of earth, water, fire, wind, or lightning.
Combat will be turn-based, and players will be able to recruit
characters from the Naruto universe and fight together with
them. Ninjas in a player's team can be matched with one another using
the Naruto Bonds-system, which can greatly boost a team's fighting
abilities and result in new combos.
Characters will be voiced by
their original actors from the show. Iconic locations from the Naruto
anime such as the Village Hidden in the Sand and Valley of the End will
feature in Naruto Online.
Single player and multi-player dungeons
will be available. There will also be featured world boss battles that
appear on a large scale in-game. Players can sign up to play via the Naruto Online website.
