Unfortunately,
it didn't offer any details beyond that, including whether these would
be remastered versions. It said it would share more details "soon."
Both
Dead Rising 2 and Off the Record are already available on PC, whereas
the original Dead Rising is not. With Capcom confirming a PC launch for
only Dead Rising 1, it stands to reason these are ports, not remasters,
but that's merely speculation at this point.
All three
are open-world games where you can use all manner of weapons (be it a
baseball bat, bench, stuffed animal, or stuffed animal you've equipped
with an assault rifle) to defend yourself from huge hordes of zombies.
Off the Record is a remake of Dead Rising 2 that inserts Dead Rising 1
protagonist Frank West into the game and adds new content.
The prospect of Dead Rising coming to PS4 was evidenced when PS4 Trophies for the game were discovered online; this would mark its first appearance on a PlayStation platform. Meanwhile, the upcoming Dead Rising 4 is only headed to Xbox One and PC when it releases this December.
